TGIF

Hi all!

Finally, IT IS FRIDAY!

This has definitely been a hard week; lots of studying and an exam on Wednesday. So I actually think that I deserve having a bloody good weekend!

So yesterday I went jogging, not the most fun thing to do but the feeling the seconds after you stop is just intoxicating! No wonder that people become exercise-aholics.... After I had run for 40 min I did some squats in the hill that leads up to my house and apparently the CC hockey team passed me because my friend who is in the team told me today that he and the others saw me and that I was crazy making squats in a uphill slope... haha I guess handball practice has teached me well ;)

So, on Saturday me and my room mate are going to Manitou Springs which is supposed to be a prettier version of Colorado Springs. We are taking the bus there, which apparently is an adventure of its own... It's going to be interesting!

Now I am off to the shower because tonight is party night :) I wonder if I will ever get used to the very-american-house-party-thing... Going to be fun anyways!

Have wonderful night y'all!

Longing for cold nights and hot tea

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all are fine and that you look forward to dark autumn nights, hot tea and a lot of other cozy things, I certainly do! But summer is having a firm grip on Colorado Springs; it is still around 25 degrees celsius here  and, I am sorry, but I just cannot stand the heat anymore! Please please please give my chilly mornings, orange leaves, some rain and wind! I might sound strange but autumn is definitely my favourite season and has always been. So come on now Mr Autumn, give us some real autumn storms!

Otherwise, everything is good here! Though I have an exam tomorrow and that is of course never actually fun. But I did go to seven eleven before to buy some study treatments (Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream of course!), so now I am ready for a long night of mercantalism, realism, marxism and public choice theory (Yey...)

It is funny how patriotic you get as soon as you leave you own little sphere! Right now I just can't think of any bad things about Sweden and actually about all of europe. When I am here I make a point of that I am both swedish and european. I feel so far away from home right now that even if I went to Spain or Franch it would feel better, beause then I would at least be in europe!

Anyway, enough talking! I have some major studying to do! In the meantime, indulge in these gorgeous autumn pictures and pray for that we will get colder temperatures here in C.springs because I am minutes from melting...

Until next time, cheers!

First 14 days in Colorado Springs

Ok, so now I am here. In the big land on the other side of the pond. In America, Colorado springs. The land of opportunities, the land of people that talks very loud, the land that has a very strange breakfast. I have been here 14 days and have exactly 119 days left.

So how do I feel?

Good I guess... I have a great time, my room mate is nice, the area is nice. The way of studying here; wierd. Breakfast; what is is with americans and bagels?! They are not that good.... (I am trying my best to avoid the unavoidable but soon you can probably call me Fatsy...)

The way of studying and how you act in class is very different from Sweden. At CC we have one course at the time, for 3½ week. So no time for procrastination (baaah, that my favourite thing to do...). Morover, americans are very talkative! This can sit and discuss subjects open in class without really knowing anything about the subject. I must say I am very impressed even though I feel slightly uncomfortable being the only one sitting silent. But I will try to do my best.

One other thing that freaks me out is that there is NO free time AT ALL. I even feel stressed now, writing this blog post because I have so much to do! Generally its 100 pages a day I have to read and present infront of the class tomorrow. Hello stress-symtoms!

So this will be it for now! I'll come back and write more when I dont have a study-concious left....

By the way... Right now I need a huge cup of Tea. Because when there is tea, there is hope!

Et moi! In Great Sand Dunes National Park

Goregous mountains everywhere!

Cowboys...

Rodeo-time!

Cheers for now!
